Albunuelas is
accessible from both GRANADA (Santa Fe) and MALAGA International
Airports. Flights to / from ALMERIA are also accessible.

This airport has recently increased its international flights, is small
and friendly. Some of the destinations are:
MONARCH - London Gatwick(LGW).
RYANAIR - East Midlands (EMA), Frankfurt Hann (HHN), Liverpool (LPL),
London Stanstead (STN) and Milan Bergamo (BGY)
AIR EUROPA - Palma de Mallorca (PMI) with connections to Barcelona
(BCN).
Take the A329 from the airport heading
for Granada. Join the E323 - E902 turning south (right) towards the
coast and Motril. This is the main motorway between Granada and the
Costa tropical.
Follow the motorway to junction 152 / 153
which is signposted to Albunuelas. Continue along this road, following
the signposts until you get to the outskirts of Albunuelas village.
Just inside the village boundary you will
pass a cemetery on the left. This is not an open cemetery as you would
expect
in the UK, but is more of a courtyard with enclosed space. It should be fairly
obvious by its abundance of flowers.
Continue towards Albunuelas until you see a road
heading right up the hill and another road heading left down hill.
If you stop at the bottom of the up hill road, Casa Terrazas is in
the small complex directly on your left beyond the orange grove.

Malaga is a large, established
international airport. Destinations are too numerous to mention here.
On leaving the airport, you need to get
onto the E15 / N340 and head towards Malaga centre. This part is not
too easy and you'll need to keep your eyes open!
This motorway standard road will take you
around the city centre and towards Velez-Malaga and then Nerja, along
the south coast towards the east (Costa del Sol).
Keep on this motorway until beyond Nerja
(the motorway is currently being extended further to the east).
After the motorway, the road continues as a single carriageway and you
need to continue past La Herradura, Almunecar and Salobrena.
Past Salobrena, but before reaching
Motril, keep an eye out for a turn-off to Granada. This is part way
along a long straight of road leaving Salobrena. Take the road to
Granada.
Follow this road through some very rugged
scenery and some time it will become motorway. Continue along the
motorway until you reach exit 160 and turn off to the left (west)
towards Lecrin.
Follow the road through Lecrin and
Melegis
to Restabal. At Restabal there is a right turn signposted to
Albunuelas - follow this.
Continue to Saleres but just before you
get into the village, look for a right fork signposted to Albunuelas.
Take the fork.
Follow this road until you reach the
outskirts of Albunuelas and then follow the directions as though arriving into
the village from Granada.
